2012 President's Field Challenge Update: You can participate too!

The 2012 President’s Field Challenge (PFC) is off to a good start. So far three staff have had funds matched.

Bryce Bouchard  Spectrum gift   $8,000
Eric Staveness Collegiate gift  $5,000
David Mead  Military gift $5,000

New gifts need to be $5,000 or more. Approved projects are matched at 100% of the gift amount. With $200,000 available to match projects, there is still $182,000 available to match new gifts. The staff who raises the funds also receives a 50% match of the original gift. So far, $9,000 has been transferred to staff, which leaves $91,000 of the $100,000 allotted for staff.

Eric’s gift resulted in $10,000 going into the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate account, and $2,500 going into his account. When I talked to Bryce, Campus Director at University of Arizona, he was thrilled about the potential match. He was in full swing raising funds to build a house on a reservation outside Phoenix. Close to 100 students from three universities joined together to help with the project. Bryce’s giving friend was also thrilled to see her gift doubled to help with the construction. Lives were changed, and God blessed a deserving family through this project. Check out the video report from one of the students who was on the trip.

The Ministry Advancement team has been developing some tools to help you make these appeals. Your Mission or Ministry office should have sent these to you along with the guidelines for the 2012 PFC. If you haven’t received them yet, you can retrieve them at www.navigators.org/us/view/pfc/2012/pfcstaff. The flyer can be printed for a personal presentation or sent to your friends as a PDF attachment. Each flyer also has a simple URL that can be sent to your friends so they can give online.

I hope and pray we will see God raise up new givers to join us in funding these critical projects.
