We need your help! God has called us to full-time ministry at Ft. Campbell, KY. In order to be full-time, state-side missionaries, we must raise 100% of our budget. But we’ll talk about that more a little later. First, let me tell you about a recent opportunity God gave me to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
“I’m not ready to change yet,” Jonathan admitted to me as I asked him about the main thing holding him back from giving his life to Christ. I have come across numerous soldiers like Jonathan who have shared similar thinking with me.
Many soldiers are caught up in trying to satisfy their aching hearts and souls with a life littered with promiscuity, alcohol, and other empty pursuits. In attempts to share the Gospel with soldiers who are yearning for a life of something more, we’ve noticed that they do not respond to teaching or talking alone, but they do respond when we spend time with them and open up our homes and our lives to them. A large portion of our ministry is spent investing personal and quality time with soldiers. We invite them to share in our family time, join us for family dinners, and invest a large amount of time being with them. We are constantly reminded of this verse: We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us (1 Thes. 2:8).
Although we do lead outreach Bible studies at Ft. Campbell, the bulk of our ministry is spent investing in soldiers who want to grow in their relationship with God and those who want to learn how they can disciple fellow soldiers. This requires us to be available to soldiers at all times of the day, not just in the evenings and on weekends. In order to maximize our availability to the soldiers of Ft. Campbell, we are transitioning to full-time ministry with The Navigators. We are making this transition in phases.
The first phase is to transition to part-time at my current job by December 31. In order to do this, we need to raise a monthly budget of $4,050.
To reach our budget would you prayerfully consider giving a monthly gift of $25, $50, $100, $200, or even $500? However God leads in giving (yes or no, whatever the amount) is fine. Thank you for partnering with us in leading military men and women to Jesus!
Advancing His Kingdom,
P.S. To give, please return the enclosed card with your check made out to The Navigators by November 30. You’ll receive an acknowledgment and receipt by return mail. Thanks!
