Lapsed Gift Letter: Sample
How are things with you in Anytown? We're all doing well here. (Continue with a couple more sentences of casual news.)
Mary and I were reviewing recently our monthly financial report from Navigator Headquarters and noticed that the last contribution received from you was a $10 gift last June—six months ago. You are normally so consistent in your giving that I thought I'd better contact you.
It may be that you have misplaced your Navigator return envelope and hoped that Headquarters would send you another. For your convenience, I've enclosed a giving card and envelope so you can get things rolling again easily.
If there’s a different reason that you’ve not been able to give, maybe you’d be kind enough to let us know what’s happening. We care deeply for you as a friend, and whatever may be going on in your life matters to us. We’d like an opportunity to minister to you as you have minister to us in so many ways over the years. Would you give us a call at (xxx) xxx-xxxx? We'd love to visit with you.
Ruth, we want you to know that we deeply appreciate your love, prayers and encouragement, and we hope you are able to rejoin our team, but even more, know that we’re on your team, too.
Warmly in Christ,
P.S. If you think of us, please pray for our annual pizza party for students on May 15. This annual party gives us students to minister to all summer!
(NOTE: Remember to include the Navigator logo, your first and last name, address, phone, and e-mail.)
